What is Art Club?
Internet culture is our culture. What happens online is no longer a separate space — a different or virtual life — it’s real life. At Electric Objects, we created EO1, a dedicated display for art, and a new way to bring the amazing, beautiful, and weird internet culture out of your computer and into your home.
Art Club is our way of supporting artists interested in making work for Electric Objects. All artwork funded through Art Club will be made available immediately in the homes of thousands of Electric Objects customers, and on the web for everyone else. Our goal is to create one of the largest and most forward-thinking collections of digital art on the planet.
Since we started Art Club last year, we’ve commissioned and shared over 100 collections of new and original digital art — working with artists like Björk, Ai Weiwei, Zach Gage, YACHT, Sam Cannon, and many more.
We’ve displayed Art Club Artists’ work at NADA Miami, the New Museum in New York City, and at the Electric Objects Showroom in SoHo. And through our EO1 loaner program, Art Club Artists have used EO1 to display their work at great events like SPRING/BREAK Art Show, GLAS Festival in Berkeley, Sónar in Barcelona, and the Centre d'Art Santa Mònica.

Art Club Fund
The Electric Objects Art Club Fund is a commitment of $100,000 to commissioning new works of digital art in 2016. That’s $100,000 for JPGs, GIFs, PNGs, MP4s and art websites. To learn more about the Art Club Fund, read our blog post here.

Join Art Club
On a regular basis, we put out open calls for artists interested in exploring this new platform. Open calls offer artists the opportunity to apply for Art Club. Selected artists receive a commission of $500 and a free EO1.
